Hmm, no new finished objects to report, not even much progress to report since I have been stricken with a) knitterly laziness lately and b) massive gigantic piles of laundry consolidated in the living room. The latter because JP expressed his growing unhappiness with the piles of MY laundry that have escaped from the hamper and guest bedroom (aka my dressing room) and have spread down the hall and into the kitchen. I literally have so many clothes (no, I'm not rich, I just shop at the Rochester Hills Salvation Army a lot) that I only need to do laundry twice a month or so. Which explains why I'm on my second night of laundry and looking at a third.
But I digress. What I meant to tell you is that I've signed on for this, proving once again that I'm insane and will probably need a LOT of knitting steroids (chocolate and liquor) to get through it unscathed. Luckily, Dana will be a Knitting Olympian too, and if we both make it through I swear we deserve matching USA track outfits and I WILL go buy medals for us with a Joann's 40% off coupon. This is what I've decided to do:
It's the "Cable Sweater" from Vintage Knits. I figure it's doable, and will also knock out one of my Knitting New Years Resolutions (knitting a sweater for myself). Now I just need to find out if Rowan handknit dk cotton has been discontinued, or even if it hasn't, if there's a wool blend with the same gauge. I hate knitting cotton.
So while I'm tracking that down, here's a Where's Waldo vignette for you, entitled "Can You Spot the Russell in This Picture?"
Jerry thinks he can!
I LOVE the matching track suit idea!! How cool would that be to walk into the 'bou with our suits and our medals!?!? People would DEFINITELY notice!
I read yesterday about a cotton/Lycra yarn that's s'posed to be really nice, it's new, I'll see if I can track it down for ya.

Yeah, Kirsti e-mailed me about it too, all our e-mails to the group have bounced back. I think I'm going to make a quick blog post about it...
